Eleonora Veninova is a screenwriter/director of award-winning short fiction films ‘Fighting for Death,’ ‘Hairs,’ The Piglet Who Wanted to Fly’. Her films have screened at over 60 festivals around the world, including a dozen of Oscar/BAFTA/EFA qualifying festivals.
She holds a BA in journalism and before heading into the film industry worked as a reporter for several media outlets, including the BBC World Service.
Eleonora graduated from California State University Northridge with MA in Screenwriting. After her studies in Los Angeles, she moved to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where she worked as a writer/editor-in- chief for a local production company. She currently resides in Skopje, Macedonia where she writes for several TV Series, including a Macedonian adaptation of HBO’s series ‘In Treatment,’ while also developing her own TV Series.
